Federal authorities say they’re close to solving a more than 17-year-old cold case murder of a U.S. Postal Service truck driver. However, they say they’re still looking for tips in the killing of Larry Vinson at the old post office on Winchester on January 2nd, 2001. U.S. Attorney Michael Dunavant called for tips yesterday in announcing a 100-thousand-dollar reward. Vinson’s daughter says she just wants closure for her mother who lost her battle with cancer several years ago without knowing who took her caretaker’s life.
