The Memphis Police Department is taking proactive measures after recent mass shootings. MPD Director Mike Rallings says that the department is stationing officers outside all Memphis Walmart Superstore locations and other area shopping centers. Rallings made the announcement on Saturday, saying MPD is always concerned about the possibility of copycat crimes. Over the weekend, nearly 30 victims were killed at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas and an entertainment area in Dayton, Ohio.
