K-9 units are being credited with finding a suspect in the Memphis Zoo who was fleeing police. Cops say a 16-year-old suspect robbed two people at gunpoint near Wells Station and Bayless Avenue around 1:00 this morning and threatened to kill the victims. Police were able to chase the suspect to the zoo where he ditched a stolen car, climbed the fence and hid inside. The K-9s tracked him down and he was taken by ambulance to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for unknown injuries. Zoo officials say no animal exhibits were breached.
